ChristmasVille | December 5-8
Once again, Old Town Rock Hill will come alive as a charming, picturesque holiday village and outdoor art festival. The 14th annual ChristmasVille will take place December 5 – December 8, 2019. This award winning festival has over 70 events including horse drawn carriage rides, historic tours, strolling Dickens carolers, art, theater, dance, music, a gingerbread house contest, multiple Santa activities, and a REAL ice skating rink! Winthrop’s 84th Annual Tree Lighting | December 6, 6 – 6:30 PM
This event brings a sense of holiday cheer to the campus’s community as students, alumni, faculty/staff and community members enjoy this annual tradition. All are invited to enjoy cookies, hot cocoa and hot apple cider as we prepare to light the Magnolia tree. Be ready for a night of fun as this event kicks off the ChristmasVille Parade that will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Fort Mill Tree Lighting | December 5, 5 – 7 PM
Join us as we celebrate the Town’s annual Lighting of the Tree on Thursday, Dec. 5. The event begins from 5 to 7 p.m. with merchants offering entertainment, food, activities and shopping along Main Street, and with a trackless train for the kids running along N. White St.
Clover Christmas Parade | December 1
Get excited about the Clover Christmas Parade! It’s a great family event with local restuarants to enjoy lunch prior to the parade. This annual event will include horses from the local 4H and York County Mounted Police. See dancers, the Clover High School Band, boats and firetrucks! The parade is sponsored by the Greater Clover Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Clover. The parade route follows Main Street and proceeds from north to south.
A Tega Cay Christmas: Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration | December 7, 3 – 8 PM
The Candy Cane Hunt presented by Macaroni Kid Fort Mill-Tega Cay begins at 3:00 PM at the Lower Level of the Glennon Center. The Candy Cane Hunt will also feature prizes, crafts, face painting, hot chocolate and cookies! Following the Candy Cane Hunt stay with us for the Tree Lighting at 6:00 PM which features Christmas Carols sung by the Tega Cay Elementary School Chorus & Fort Mill High School Chorus, the tree lighting and a visit from old Saint Nick! SC Shore Club will be providing free horse carriages rides as part of the festivities!
Lake Wylie Holiday Boat Parade | December 14, 5:30 – 7:30 PM
Don’t miss Christmas By The Lake in Lake Wylie! The 30th Annual Holiday Boat Parade will take off from the docks at Papa Doc’s Shore Club at 6:30. Enjoy Christmas by the Lake from 5:30 to 7:30pm. The parade is sponsored by the Lake Wylie Chamber of Commerce.
Christmas Candlelight Tours| December 7 – 14
Celebrate the holiday season with traditions from the 18th and 19th centuries at Historic Brattonsville. Come enjoy fiddle music and dance alongside historically-dressed interpreters. Try candle dipping, listen to Christmas stories or have a warm drink by the campfire. Christmas Candlelight Tours will happen on Dec. 7, 2019 and Dec. 14, 2019 from 3PM – 9PM. 80th Annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting | December 6, 4 – 9 PM
York’s 80th Annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting brought to you by The York Entertainment Society and the City of York, SC.
